Asking Parents For Permission

Hey everyone! Happy Monday!

So I just got back from a Meet and Greet and Book Signing event in Penang yesterday and if you didn't hear about it maybe it's time for you to follow me on my Facebook page. Just slotting this in here in an attempt to gain more likes so I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, today I have another comic about my parents because I am not sure why I cannot stop talking about them.

As a kid, if I wanted to do anything I would have to ask my parents for permission. Needless to say, my life as a kid, things were pretty ambiguous.

Here is why.

Who do I really have to ask really...
I would then go to my mum and ask who will tell me to go back to my dad and ask and this endless self defeating cycle happens until one of my parents get mad at me and I get grounded.

This is just an infinite loop which is neither yes or no where parents every time will successfully absolve themselves from their decision making responsibilities.

This is why eventually, I never ask them for permission when I want to do things. This could explain why I spend a lot of time at home. #groundedforlife

Have a great week ahead!

How My Mum Rush Me

Hey everyone! Happy Mondays!

Comic? Yes sure why not.

Recently I just have a slew of comics about my mother and this is yet another one. Back when I was in school, my mum has a technique of getting me ready as quickly as possible.

So I sat in the living room for another hour before the bus arrives.
Admittedly, I hated it when she does this.

In the beginning, I just berated my mum for not being able to tell the time but then I realised that she was just being manipulative to get me to wake up.

It worked the first few times she did it but eventually I wisened up. Instead of waking up and rushing, I continued sleeping but then that was how I begin to be late for school.

I can never win the system.

Thank goodness I don't have to wake up so early for school anymore.

Have a great week ahead!

Are Kids Soft These Days?

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the late post as I got held up with doing unnecessary things since Monday. Hence the post comes up today!

I know I am slightly late to the party but a couple of weeks ago, I came across this one news where a parent making a beeline to the social media after finding out his kid who came late to school got punished by sitting under the sun on the tar road while the rest get to sit on the cement floor during morning school assembly.

Firstly, it's morning assembly. Sitting on the tar road and cement floor is equally shit because no kid likes morning assemblies especially when the 10 o'clock sun starts scorching down your neck and you start sweating even before the first class on Monday begins.

Secondly, your kid is going to grow up being a soft strawberry who can't even take the smallest punishment. Back then, kids had it worse and we sucked it up.

Therefore I summarize my point into this one comic.

Mohon viral.

And if was lucky, sometimes my dad proceeds to cane me AFTER telling him I got caned in school. He was punishing me for getting caned. And then another caning for not doing my homework.

Now I am not condoning child violence but parents shouldn't freak out so much when their kids get punished in school for misbehaving.

Kids shouldn't have to grow up being soft.

I may be a shit parent one day.

Have a great week ahead!

Whenever My Mum Calls Me In The House

Hey everyone!

Was supposed to post something yesterday but then I fell sick over the weekend so you can go ahead and ask me how my weekend was it sucks so bad I wanted to cough myself to oblivion.

Anyway, I am still not finished with the topic of my mum. I know I've just been harping on her weird quirks but then based on the feedback I got, I began to realise that a lot of mums do it too.

Now here is one more and I would love to know if your mum does this to you too.

This happens way too often for my liking.
This was not a once or twice occurence. It happened way too many times and she always have reasons behind them but her to go reason was "she forgot". I don't like calling my mum old but why you keep forgetting?? Does this explain why you forgot about me when- never mind.

One time, she said that "I just want to make sure you are in the house."

What in the even what? I called back! Doesn't that mean that I am already IN the house? Apparently she needed my physical being to be in front of her to confirm my presence.

Mum. Why you so weird.

Have a great week ahead everyone.

Whenever My Mum Calls Me Down For Dinner

Hey everyone!

So I was supposed to continue from where I left off previously with this comic but I got distracted with socio-political issues.

Back to the topic now.

Apparently in my previous comic, people are all telling me that my mum leaves the door open because she wants me to stop whatever I am doing and move my ass but this comic will explain it further.

Even after I move my damn ass.

It is never ready.
So even though she calls me, leaves my door open for the demons to enter, and I move my ass to dinner, there is no dinner waiting.

Furthermore. she actually expects that I sit in the living room and wait like I am at a restaurant or something.

My mum's logic is an enigma.

There is another thing that she does which I will cover in the next post. Provided I don't get distracted again.

Have a great week ahead!
